Summer Arts

Welcome to Luther Memorial School’s Summer Program for 2008! This year marks our 13th anniversary of our Arts program and the 151st anniversary of our school. We are very proud of our traditions, and at the same time, we are striving each year to improve our program. This year we will be offering camps for students in preschool through rising 10th grade. In our program, your child can explore such areas as Fused Glass, Metal Work, Theater, and Science. Please read the program listings in this site to find out more about our offerings. And, as always, know that our basic requirement is simply that every class offer an exciting “hands-on” learning experience taught by a teacher who not only loves working with children, but who also brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. Be sure to check out our new Summer Arts Faculty page to read about the talented people who will be teaching at Luther this summer.

All programs are held Monday through Friday. (There is no camp on Friday, July 4th.) A snack is served each day, and a hot lunch is provided for students attending both our morning and afternoon programs.

For preschool through rising fifth grade students, we offer an Extended Day program which offers activities before and after the regular camp time. These activities include swimming and afternoon field trips. Extended Day can be billed on an hourly or weekly rate.

For all our programs, spaces fill quickly. For an application, click here. Please note that a non-refundable $100.00 registration fee and four signatures are required for the application to be complete. Also, please feel free to call me at 321-6420 or email me at Pat_Scott @ luthermemorial.com with any questions you may have about any of our programs.

Wishing you a safe and fun filled summer,

Patricia Scott
Summer Programs Director
