Welcome from our Summer Programs Director
Luther Memorial School is pleased to offer a summer program that allows the opportunity to explore and discover the arts. Serving the Richmond region with a summer experience for 16 years and an educational opportunity for 156 years, we are proud of the strong community to which we are connected.

We offer educational and exploratory programs that engage and nurture the child mind, body, and spirit. Students in preschool 3 through rising 9th grade are welcome to join our program. Preschool and elementary participants are offered the opportunity to learn and play in an environment that is filled with discovery. Middle school participants are challenged and encouraged through experiences that broaden their creative abilities. Our theatre productions have a 16 year history of developing and inspiring students’ artistic gifts (see pages 8-9).
Luther Memorial School offers a program utilizing education and artisan teachers who value the success of each student and bring to the community a wealth of knowledge and experience. We are pleased that numerous new and returning teachers, professional artists, and long-term coaches have chosen Luther Memorial for summer 2012.
Our programs are held Monday—Friday, June 11—August 10, 2012 with service from 7:00 a.m.—5:45 p.m. Activities will include travel-to and in-school field trips, swimming, and special weekly afternoon classes for extended day participants. Extended Day charges are billed by the hour or week; you may reflect your choice on the
program application. We trust you will find our program one that will fit your family’s schedule and we will be thrilled to have your child with us for the summer.
I encourage you to register early, as space is limited. Please complete the application and enclose a non-refundable $100 registration fee. In addition, before signing, please be sure to read the Important Information section of this brochure to ensure a mutual understanding of intentions and expectations.
Finally, I look forward to the opportunity to see your child placed in this great space for the summer.
I’m committed to ensuring a wonderful experience from your child’s and family’s perspective.
